Exciting Changes

This upcoming school year will be a time of exciting changes for me as a teacher!  First of all, I'm not leaving Meadowthorpe, but rather transitioning into the role of primary math interventionist/coach.  I love my primary "babies" and I can't wait to work with not only them but also the K-3 teachers in a new capacity!

I've begun work on a new blog, Dedicated Learners, to focus on Math ideas for students, parents, and teachers.  It's a work in progress at this point but feel free to contact me anytime - I'd love to hear from you!

Math Fun for Families

Be sure you check out this new website from the Kentucky Center for Mathematics.  It has many of the activities we do at school during small group Math time.  You can even download them and play at home - for FREE!  Preschool and First grade activities are also included so you can print activities that match your child's ability level.  Have fun!!

Don't Miss Out!!!

Kindergarten students will be screened at Meadowthorpe Friday, August 1st from 2:00-7:00 and Monday, August 4th from 9:00-1:00.

School-wide orientation will be Monday, August 11th from 5:00-7:00. 

  The first day of school is Wednesday, August 13th!

Though not on the official list it would be wonderful for everyone to send in 4 tennis balls for our chairs.  We have a new classroom and they will help protect our floors!  Don't forget about our wishlist to the right as well.  Thank you ahead of time!!!
